Experience:

Quantum Software and Solutions Head @ Womanium Quantum
(Jun.2022 - Present)
I lead and manage multiple teams dedicated to developing cutting-edge quantum computing solutions for our Fortune 500 clients. I spearhead the entire software development lifecycle from conceptualization to successful execution, ensuring seamless integration of quantum algorithms and applications for diverse industries.

  • Orchestrated the implementation of D-Wave quantum annealers to optimize warehouse storage management for Deloitte, resulting in a significant reduction in operational costs.
  • Pioneered the formulation of highly efficient LCU decompositions for complex Chemical Hamiltonians, enabling faster and more accurate simulations for Xanadu's research projects.
  • Led a team of skilled developers in creating a suite of practical quantum mini-apps for the Naval Nuclear Laboratory, streamlining complex engineering simulations and benchmarking against existing classical solutions.
  • Often I take the role of an industry spokesperson at prominent conferences and events, articulating the potential of quantum computing in revolutionizing various industries.
Quantum Algorithms Researcher @ TATA Consultancy Services
(May.2022 ‑ Jul.2022)
I worked at the TCS Innovation Lab Hyderabad, the R&I flagship of the TATA Consultancy Services, under the guidance of Dr. Anirban Mukherjee, Mr. CV Sridhar and Mr. Sayantan Pramanik . During the internship, my work and responsibilities included:
  • Quantum Computing - I worked on calculating the ground state energy and interaction energy for Water molecule using VQE and SAPT formalisation. The results provided the groundwork and formed the basis for future research work in this area at TCS. I was also involved in optimizing the SOFT algorithm and using it simulate the Quantum Tunnelling effect for larger systems.
  • Market Research - I reviewed various research papers in the Quantum Computation domain and tried replication their results to get a better understanding of the work being done in the industry. After thorough study of the various market players, I delivered a comprehensive report on potential use-cases and their viable solution plans using Quantum Computation.
  • Community engagement - I delivered educational presentations to small audiences on topics like 'Introduction to the OpenFermion package', 'Applications of VQE to calculate ground state energy of molecules', and 'Industrial use-cases of Chemistry using Quantum computation'.
Quantum Software Developer @ Artificial Brain Technology (OPC) Private Limited
(Nov.2021 ‑ Mar.2022)
I worked directly under the guidance of the CEO of Artificial Brain Technology, Mr. Jitesh Lalvani. My work and responsibilities included:
  • Quantum Computing - I and my team worked on finding an optimal solution for the Location placement and the Route optimization problem using Quantum Computing. The solution we developed is now being used to solve the EV Charger placement problem in real time. The final product we delivered is also published and featured as a D‑Wave product template. The project I contributed to is currently the flagship product at Artificial Brain Technology.
  • Market Research - I worked with the Climate‑Tech team to identify and propose solutions to viable use‑cases of quantum computing to solve various environmental problems. After identifying the potential use-cases and discussing the work currently being done by various other players in the market, we proposed a plan for future projects in the company. To kick-start the project, we even published a white paper describing the problem and our proposed QC solution on 'Quantum-AI Hybrid Approach for Wind Farm Layout Optimization'.
  • Consulting - I participated in regular meet-ups to discuss strategies on pitching the various consulting services the company had to offer to potential clients.
  • Miscellaneous - Due to the start-up nature of the company, I was able to gain experience in a variety of tasks such as interviewing future intern candidates, leading GD sessions on various QC use-cases. This not only developed my interpersonal and communication skills, but also helped me build some awesome connections which ultimately led to interesting project collaborations.
IASc-INSA-NASI Summer Research Fellow @ IISER Kolkata
(Jun.2022 ‑ Aug.2022)
As a recipient of the prestigious IASc-INSA-NASI Summer Research Fellowship 2022, I am working under Dr. Prasanta K. Panigrahi at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research - Kolkata.
  • Currently I am working in the research area of Geometry of Entanglement.
Quantum Research QIntern @ QWorld
(Jul.2022 ‑ Aug.2022)
During the summer quantum internship program of the QWorld Association (hosted by the QResearch Department) I am working under Dr. Pawel Gora.
  • My focus area of research is Optimizing logistics using quantum computing.
Global Quantum Computing Fellow @ Womanium
(Jun.2022 ‑ Dec.2022)
I am currently associated with Womanium as a Global Quantum Computing Fellow. My current responsibilities include:
  • Organising the Womanium Quantum Hackathon which hosts over 2200 participant spread over 88+ countries.
  • Mentoring and clearing doubts of the Quantum event participants.
Teaching Assistant @ IIT Delhi
(Jul.2022 ‑ Dec.2022)
I am working as a teaching Assistant to Dr. Abhishek Dixit for the flagship CEP course on “Quantum Computing and Machine Learning” at the Indian Institute of Technology - Delhi. As a TA, my work involves:
  • Taking Lab sessions, Preparing assignments, Floating and supervising projects, Preparing tutorials.
  • Mentoring and clearing doubts of over 100 students taking the course.

Summer Research Fellowship @ SARSTEM
I was the recipient of a 100% Scholarship for working with the Astrophysics research group at SARSTEM. Under the guidance of my supervisor, Mr. Edoardo Altamura, I worked on the GW Data Analysis as a part of the ’Horizon’ research group. My individual contribution in the three month long project included literature review and the Bilby implementation in the parameter estimation of the O2 dataset of GW170608 event. We successfully completed our research project and documented the same as a project report, 'Gravitational Wave Data Analysis - Parameter Estimation using Bayesian Analysis'. During the internship, I gained a fair amount of knowledge in Astrophysics, learnt about a lot of new scientific tools and computational methods and gained a valuable first hand experience in scientific research.
